My name is Korine Adams. I am a mother, wife, pastry chef, baker, boss lady, mama cat, & hostess at heart.
I was born in Austin, Texas & raised in Chicago suburbs. As a young child, my first word was “biddabidda” so my mom started calling me Bidda. It was our own special language of love & as I grew older we bonded in the kitchen & shared the love of baking together.
I have always connected with baking so I made a career out of it. After 20 years of experience, I started to realize…Wow! Baking is delicious art. I founded BIDA Baking Co fueled with the desire to be my own boss & share my passion of baking with others.
My pastry journey started in small-town bakery jobs baking bread, cake decorating, and managing bake shops.
I attended the French Pastry School in Chicago.
I graduated to jobs throughout the city where I practiced & studied the science of baking. I am now the founder & baker of BIDA Baking Co.
Stephanie still recalls making assorted cookies and pastries in her Nana’s kitchen when she was 6. Her love of the kitchen was inspired by her Nana’s baking. Later, Beckstrom would attend Elgin Community College in Illinois studying Pastry Arts.
While at ECC she interned at several small bakeries. One that stood out to her the most was “Moveable Feast” where she met Pastry Chef Anne Marie who taught her the fundamentals of time management and execution in the kitchen.
She then made her way to Grand Victoria Casino, working under Executive Pastry Chef Korine Adams who would become one of her main influences, role models, and now great friend. Together they express what the true love of baking is. Beckstrom enjoys giving her time and talking about her passion of pastries to everyone she meets.
